Our latest blog post explores low cost & free ways to embrace mindfulness through slow mornings and alfresco suppers surrounded by nature. Discover practical ways to switch off your phone, wander in the hills, listen to birds, and let your day unfold without plans. Habits that help you slow down time, reduce stress, and hopefully bring some joy to your everyday moments.

No WiFi here - The Power of Switching Off
The first step to embracing mindfulness is to switch off your phone and disconnect from WiFi. Try setting specific times during the day when you turn off your devices completely. For example:
Use the lockbox to keep your phones out of sight & out of mind
There is no wifi in the little green hut, very intentional
A digital detox will honestly help you slow down and notice the details that you usually miss - like the sound of birds or the warmth of sunlight on your skin.
Enjoy Slow Mornings with Breakfast in Bed
Starting your day slowly will set the tone for a calmer day. Instead of rushing out of bed, try enjoying breakfast in bed. The breakfast hamper is waiting for you when you arrive, there is even a kettle & flask for you in the hut so you don't even need to leave your sanctuary to put the kettle on!
Our breakfast basket includes:
Fresh fruit with yogurt and honey or jam.
Bread or croissants, butter & jam or marmalade (depending on the season)
Orange juice, tea or freshly brewed coffee
While eating, avoid scrolling through your phone. We prefer you to savour the quite, but if you really struggle without some background noise. there is always the radio to pop on.

Alfresco Suppers: Picnics, BBQ's or just a "fuddle picky tea"
there is something special about eating outside. It connects you with the environment without you even realising. Slow down, enjoy fresh air, and share meals together, it's much more relaxing.
Our tips for memorable alfresco suppers:
Use the deck, the or the picnic bench outside the hut
Nothing fancy, simple dishes that don’t require much fuss - salads, grilled meat & veg on the BBQ or something as simple as local bread with cheese
Light the lanterns & the firepit to create a cosy atmosphere as the sun sets

Wander in the Hills, Wonder at the Views & notice the little things
We are located in a beautiful area. You can leave your car parked up for the weekend, wander straight from the door & wonder at the beautiful uninterrupted views from the top of the hill.
