Food for thought - supporting local Peak District Independents

When we go away, we like to seek out the good places to eat. To be honest, it'a a big part of our time away, we like our food & drink! It's not necessarily the places that are the most obvious, more the ones that have come recommended or we have stumbled across while out & about exploring, if we can ditch the car & they are walkable, even better. We aren't fussy, one vegetarian & prosecco fan, one meat & pale ale fan, we never have a problem being catered for, infact, quite the opposite. If they are small, unique, micro or an artisan business' all the better. From micro brewery's to farm shops, crab huts to gelattos, the list goes on. Supporting small independents is becoming more & more important, if we are to keep them, we must support them. & do you know what, in our experience, they are far more personal, & the service & their products are better too.

Here in Eyam, (with less than a 1000 residents) we have some great independent places to visit for food & drink both locally & on the doorstep. Posh nosh restaurants to Caribbean kitchens, Pubs & winebars to cafes & tearooms. It's eclectic & quirky & why we love living where we do & sharing it with you.

So, what could be better than a night or two away somewhere new, injected with some good food & a few drinks from places that come recommended by your hosts? The list of places we like is long & varied & hopefully includes something for everyone, as well as being within a 5 mile radius of us. Whoop whoop! Of course, they are places WE like, there's no guarantee you will too, but we'd be surprised if you didn't. Why not give a couple of them a go when you come & stay at #thehuteyam https://www.thehuteyam.co.uk/ in the #littlegreenhut, we know they would all be really happy to give you a warm welcome, some delicious food & would be grateful for your support too.
